CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Yeager Airport says it is monitoring movement in a man-made emergency overrun area that partially collapsed in March.
The airport said Monday that the movement hasn’t compromised a nearby creek’s channel and doesn’t threaten any properties. The movement is largely contained to the area where the slide occurred.
The emergency overrun area is located at the end of the hillside airport’s runway. The landslide on March 12 took out a church, an unoccupied home, power lines and trees. No injuries were reported.
