PHOENIX (AP) - The Arizona Capitol museum has opened a temporary exhibit memorializing the life of former Gov. Raul Castro
The exhibit that opened Monday contains a collection of memorabilia designed to honor and highlight the legacy of the state’s only Hispanic governor.
Castro died on April 10 at the age of 98. Details on funeral services haven’t been announced.
Castro was a U.S. ambassador in three Latin American countries before and after he served as Arizona’s governor for 2½ years in the mid-1970s.
The museum in the old Capitol building is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.
A closing date for the temporary exhibit hasn’t been announced.
