Daycare operator pleads not guilty to abusing 2-year-old

CORBIN, Ky. (AP) - The operator of a southern Kentucky day care has pleaded not guilty to a charge of abusing a 2-year-old.

According to WKYT-TV (https://bit.ly/1IZuuqC), 33-year-old Tracy Fore of Woodbine was arraigned Monday in Knox District Court. She was charged with first-degree criminal abuse of a child under the age of 12 following an investigation at the daycare in Corbin.

According to an arrest warrant, she is accused of using the 2-year-old boy “as a seat.”

The station reports the daycare was closed on Monday.

Fore is being held at the Knox County Detention Center. Police say they are still investigating.
