BOISE, Idaho (AP) - The web camera to view streaming video of the peregrine falcons nesting on the 14th floor of a downtown Boise building is up and operating.

Officials say the camera (https://bit.ly/1aZDMsc) started operating April 6 with four eggs already in the nest. They’re expected to hatch in about a month.

The Idaho Department of Fish and Game says the nest at One Capital Center simulates the high steep cliffs the falcons use in the wild.

The falcons dive at speeds up to 200 mph to prey on other birds. In the Boise area that includes pigeons, mourning doves, starlings and other species.

The camera is sponsored by Fish and Game, The Peregrine Fund and Fiberpipe Data Centers.
