GONZALES, La. (AP) - Gonzales police have arrested the driver in a two-month-old fatal crash on Interstate 10 in Ascension Parish that killed a Baton Rouge man.

Police tell The Advocate (https://bit.ly/1crLawO ) 27-year-old John D. Sanchez turned himself in Thursday after a toxicology report came back from tests taken after the Feb. 22 crash.

A police spokeswoman says 66-year-old Floyd Cox was killed in the collision with Sanchez.

Sanchez was booked with negligent homicide. He remains in jail Tuesday in lieu of $100,000 bail.

Jail officials couldn’t provide the name of a defense attorney to comment on the charges.
