HUTTO, Texas (AP) - A Central Texas man faces a charge following accusations he tried to run over a man selling magazines door to door.
Online Williamson County court records show Kacey Jennings of Hutto is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The Austin American-Statesman (https://atxne.ws/1I8HQ3H ) reports that Jennings was arrested last week. An arrest affidavit states the salesman told police that Jennings also threatened to get his gun before he fled.
The affidavit says Jennings told police in an interview that the salesman was trying to sell him magazines “so he tried to run him off his property.” Jennings said he got into his truck to chase the man out of the neighborhood after seeing him run into other people’s yards.
It wasn’t immediately known if Jennings has an attorney.
