HONOLULU (AP) - Safety monitors say an influx of box jellyfish is expected on Oahu this week.
Honolulu television station KHON (https://is.gd/xH4LYC) reports warning signs were up at Ala Moana Beach Park Monday, where 125 jellyfish have been found so far this year.
No stings have been reported there.
So far this year, 97 jellyfish have been reported to have been found off Waikiki. In those cases, there have been 17 incidents of stings.
At Pokai Bay, 21 jellyfish have been spotted. There have been no sting reports there.
Five jellyfish have been seen at Waimea. No stings have been reported there.
