PATASKALA, Ohio (AP) - Three people in their 70s have died after police say a car crossed a center line on an Ohio road and slammed head-on into an oncoming minivan.
Authorities in Licking County say the crash occurred around 8:30 Monday night on state Route 16 in Pataskala, east of Columbus.
Pataskala police say that the three killed were 77-year-old John Wemmer of Columbus, 79-year-old Sotir Petrovski and his 73-year-old wife Kata Petrovski, both of Gahanna. All three were transported to area hospitals after the crash, where they died.
The Columbus Dispatch reports the Petrovskis’ Toyota Camry traveled into the other lane and collided with Wemmer’s Dodge Caravan.
Police didn’t immediately release additional information on the crash.
