UTICA, N.Y. (AP) - Police investigating a report of gunfire say they found the evidence in a woman’s freezer.
Officers in Utica, New York, say they responded around 3:45 a.m. Saturday to a report of shots fired on West Street. After canvassing the neighborhood, officers didn’t come up with any evidence or witnesses.
Later that afternoon, a woman who lives on a nearby street called police to report that she found a bullet in her freezer door.
Officers went to her home and found a bullet hole in the wall. They believe the bullet passed through an exterior wall before lodging in the freezer.
Police are still investigating.
