SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) - Springfield police say a 15-year-old boy is recovering after being attacked by two other teens brandishing a machete.
The victim was taken to the hospital with cuts to his wrist and back sustained in the attack just before 5 p.m. Monday.
Police say the victim was attacked by two other people who appeared to be teens.
Sgt. John Delaney says the victim knew his attackers but there was no word on arrests or what prompted the attack.
The boy is expected to survive and police are still investigating.
