PROVO, Utah (AP) - Police in Provo say a 53-year-old woman has died after she was struck by a commuter rail train early Tuesday morning between Orem and Provo.
Provo police Lt. Brandon Post told The Salt Lake Tribune (https://bit.ly/1DZhG5K) that officials are still investigating what happened on the FrontRunner tracks.
Authorities have not released the woman’s identity because they’re still working to notify her family.
Post says the woman was struck at 800 North and 1900 West.
The Utah Transit Authority runs the rail line.
UTA spokesman Remi Barron says trains were delayed 10 to 15 minutes but were running on regular schedule by late morning.
