FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - Authorities have charged a Fort Collins man who has Parkinson’s disease with vehicular homicide and reckless driving after his truck slammed into another vehicle and killed a local school district’s chief financial officer.
The allegations against Alton Massey stem from a Jan. 29 crash on the outskirts of Fort Collins that claimed that life of Thompson School District CFO Stephen Towne.
Authorities say Massey was driving when his vehicle drifted across the yellow lines and smashed into another vehicle.
According to the Fort Collins Coloradoan (https://tinyurl.com/ne9blwx), Towne died hours later as a result of injuries from the head-on crash.
