WASHINGTON (AP) - Metro Transit Police have arrested a New York man they say vandalized two train cars at a Virginia rail yard.

Metro says 24-year-old Jordan Reese McConeghy of Brooklyn, New York, was arrested Wednesday and will face charges including intentional property damage exceeding $1,000 and trespassing.

Metro says the charges against McConeghy stem from an incident in which two Metro cars at the West Falls Church Yard were spray painted with graffiti. Metro says the damage is estimated at approximately $5,400. Metro says McConeghy was previously arrested in 2014 on charges of defacing railcars at two other yards and that he agreed to pay Metro more than $6,800 in restitution.

The Associated Press was unable to reach McConeghy for comment because he did not appear to have a listed telephone number.
