NEW IBERIA, La. (AP) - State police are investigating an accident in Iberia Parish that killed a 63-year-old man.

It happened Friday night on the U.S. Highway 90 frontage road. The victim was identified as Wallace Davis of New Iberia.

State police say Davis was driving a 2003 GMC pickup truck westbound when he failed to negotiate a left curve and traveled off of the roadway and into the grass separator. Davis’ vehicle continued to travel across an intersecting road before overturning.

Davis was not wearing a seat belt. He was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead on the scene by the Iberia Parish Coroner’s Office.
