ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) - Authorities are investigating after a 42-year-old Arlington woman was found dead inside her home.

Arlington County police found the body of Bonnie Black on Friday. Police declined to say how she died but said they arrived at the home after a passerby spotted Black’s pajama-clad 5-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son in the yard.

Court records indicate Black was nearing the end of a divorce with the father of the children. Police said they had been called to the home previously for reported domestic violence and were exploring whether that was connected to Black’s death.

Arlington police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck says the children’s father went voluntarily to police headquarters to be questioned by detectives and that he was neither detained nor charged. His truck was seized as part of the investigation.
