ARLINGTON, Ore. (AP) - A semi-truck and trailer spilled about 150 gallons of diesel after crashing on Interstate 84 near Arlington, near the Columbia River.

Oregon State Police Lieutenant Pat Shortt says none of the fuel reached the river.

The accident happened early on Saturday when the truck’s driver left his lane and crashed into the center barrier of the highway. The spilled diesel fuel then caught on fire.

A hazardous materials crew was called and has contained the spill.

The driver, 23-year-old Casey Leppert of Caldwell, Idaho, was not injured.
