SANDSTON, Va. (AP) - The Transportation Security Administration says a traveler had a loaded semi-automatic handgun in his carry-on bag at Richmond International Airport.
The TSA says the New Kent County man was cited on a state weapons charge after he was stopped Friday by TSA officers at a checkpoint.
According to the TSA, the Quinton man had a 9mm gun loaded with seven rounds in his bag. The weapon was detected by X-ray.
Capital Region Airport Commission Police took possession of the gun and ammunition.
