ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Two Anchorage men are being held on suspicion of robbing a smoke shop Saturday night on the city’s northeast side.

Anchorage police say 21-year-old Siaosi Sila and 22-year-old Solomon Travita were taken into custody.

Police just after 7 p.m. took a call that a man with a gun demanded money from an employee at Smoke King, a shop in the Mountain View neighborhood.

Witnesses told police the man escaped in a vehicle and reported the license number.

Police stopped a vehicle near automotive garages on Concrete Street. Police say a passenger and driver attempted to run but one person, the man suspected of holding up the smoke shop, was detained.

Sila was held on suspicion of robbery, weapons misconduct, assault and violating conditions of his release from jail.
