Police seek suspect following fatal shooting at store

SPRINGFIELD, Vt. (AP) - Police investigating a shooting in Springfield that left a 37-year-old man dead are searching for a suspect.

Authorities tell the Burlington Free Press (https://bfpne.ws/1zyOLhC) that Wesley Wing died around 2:30 a.m. Sunday at a New Hampshire hospital following a shooting Saturday evening near Jake’s South Street Market.

Police say officers were headed to the store about 6 p.m. Saturday because of an activated alarm when dispatchers received a call about a shooting there.

Police want to question the driver of a black Infiniti car with Vermont license plates.
