LUMBERTON, N.C. (AP) - A North Carolina man is dead and two others struggling for life after a shooting that also wounded a 6-year-old.

Multiple media reports say that the shooting erupted early Saturday at a Lumberton mobile home park.

Lumberton Police say 25-year-old Nathaniel Thompson of Lumberton was killed. A 26-year-old who lived at the scene and a 24-year-old Lumberton man suffered life-threatening wounds. Police say the young child’s life is not in danger.

Lumberton City Councilman John Cantey is general manager of the mobile home park. He tells The Robesonian newspaper (https://bit.ly/1bh3rg9) the slain man had been banned from the park because of criminal activity.
