2 dirt bikes crash into each other off highway, 1 dead

ALBERTVILLE, Ala. (AP) - A dirt bike collision has left rider dead while another rider had to be airlifted to a hospital.

WAAY-TV (https://bit.ly/1yKec4Z ) reports two dirt bikes were on private property near Highway 431 in Albertville Sunday evening. Officials say the bikes were speeding toward each other when both riders swerved in the same direction before the crash.

Officials say the accident left 20-year-old Cody Gene Holland dead. They say 20-year-old Dylan Smith Gore was flown to a Huntsville hospital with unknown injuries.
