MEDINA, Ohio (AP) - Authorities say two people ejected from their vehicle in a car crash in northeast Ohio have died and two others have been hospitalized with serious injuries.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred around 10 p.m. Sunday on state Route 83 in Litchfield township near Medina when a minivan failed to yield at a stop sign and struck a PT Cruiser.

The patrol says 25-year-old Jessica Shortland of Wakeman and 36-year-old Mary Curney of Elyria were ejected from the PT Cruiser when it was pushed off the side of the road and rolled over several times. Both were taken to a local hospital, where they died.

The 84-year-old man driving the minivan and an 80-year-old woman riding with him were taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
