ST. MARYS, W.Va. (AP) - Authorities are investigating a weekend fire that destroyed a grocery store in St. Marys.

The fire occurred Saturday afternoon at the St. Marys Galaxy Food Store.

St. Marys Volunteer Fire Department chief Danny DeMoss says an equipment or electrical failure is suspected.

DeMoss tells the Parkersburg News and Sentinel (https://bit.ly/1yKm8mW ) that the fire mainly was concentrated in the rear of the building, where compressors, freezers and other equipment were located.

No injuries were reported.
