ROCKFORD, Ill. (AP) - Authorities in Rockford say an autopsy is planned on a 24-year-old man whose body was found in a vehicle submerged in the Rock River.

The Rockford Register Star reports (https://bit.ly/1D7y2mT ) the autopsy is scheduled Monday for Ivan Torres-Espinoza of Rockford. He was found in an upside-down vehicle in the river Saturday morning.

Winnebago County Coroner Sue Fiduccia says the man’s body was on the floor boards of the back seat. She says there were no visible signs of trauma. He appeared to be in the water less than a day.
