NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam has announced that Hardin County will be added to the counties that will receive federal aid as a result of February’s winter storm that killed 30 people across the state and cost more than $30 million.

The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency says there are now 36 counties included in the presidential disaster declared in Tennessee as a result of the storm and the plunging temperatures that followed.

The federal aid will allow government entities and some nonprofits in the declared counties to be reimbursed for some of the costs of responding to the disaster. Officials say the Federal Emergency Management Agency will reimburse agencies for 75 percent of the costs of debris removal, emergency response, and rebuilding and repairing roads, bridges and other infrastructure.
