HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - A reputed gang leader in Hartford has been sentenced to the maximum 60 years in prison for a drive-by killing in 2007.

Donald Raynor was sentenced Monday to life in prison, which is defined by state law as 60 years. He was convicted last month in Hartford Superior Court of murder in the shooting death of 22-year-old Delano Gray.

The 29-year-old Raynor is awaiting trial in the shootings of five other people in Hartford in 2007 and 2008 and the alleged theft and trafficking of firearms.

Hartford police said Raynor led the violent Money Green/Bedroc gang in the North End, which engaged in drug trafficking in Connecticut’s capital. His lawyer disputed the allegations.
