The (Champaign) News-Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1cMnALh ) an American Association of University Professors annual ranking of faculty compensation places the central Illinois university 17th in the nation among four-year public institutions in compensation for full professors.

The average compensation for the university’s faculty members is $150,100. That is up from $146,400 in the previous year’s report. Salaries overall at the University of Illinois have increased 2.53 percent.
