LOS ANGELES (AP) - A half-dozen inmates complaining of pain were taken for medical examinations after a Los Angeles County sheriff’s bus was involved in a traffic accident on a freeway.
Deputy Amber Smith says two deputies also reported minor injuries in the accident, which occurred around 6 a.m. Monday on the Hollywood Freeway in the San Fernando Valley. A total of seven inmates were on the bus.
At least two other vehicles were involved.
The California Highway Patrol reported all lanes reopened by 7:20 a.m.
