BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - A man died and two houses were destroyed in a weekend fire in Miles City.

Miles City Fire and Rescue says the fire was reported at about 3:40 p.m. Sunday. When firefighters arrived, both houses were on fire.

The Billings Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1J2r3ms) firefighters pulled a man from one of the houses, but he was pronounced dead at Holy Rosary Hospital.

Firefighters say both houses are considered a complete loss and a pickup parked nearby also was burned. The fire caused an estimated $200,000 in damages.

The name and age of the man killed in the fire were being withheld while family members were notified.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
