HELENA, Mont. (AP) - The governor of Montana has finished the Boston Marathon.

Democratic Gov. Steve Bullock ran the 26.2 miles Monday in 3 hours 40 minutes 44 seconds.

The Great Falls Tribune reports (https://gftrib.com/1E2Xdef) this was Bullock’s fourth time running the Boston Marathon and his 14th marathon overall.

Bullock, 49, told the Great Falls Tribune a friend offered him a bib for the Boston Marathon this year. He says he couldn’t refuse even though he hadn’t trained as much as he would have liked with the Legislature in session.

He turned down an entry offered for the Boston Marathon due to a lack of training two years ago when a bombing killed three people and injured more than 260.
