IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) - The oldest bird at the Idaho Falls Zoo at Tautphaus Park has died.
Zoo officials in a statement Friday say the 42-year-old female turkey vulture came to Idaho Falls in 1995.
Before that she entered a zoo in Indiana at age 2 in 1975 after sustaining an injury that prevented her from returning to the wild.
Zoo officials tell KIFI-TV (https://bit.ly/1H7RPJk) that the oldest animals at the zoo are Aldabra tortoises
The oldest birds at the zoo now are a 40-year-old male flamingo and a 28-year-old male penguin.
