HONOLULU (AP) - Erosion mitigation work is set to take place at a popular Oahu beach this week.

Honolulu news station Hawaii News Now (https://is.gd/RrxQXw) reports the sand replenishment project at Kailua Beach Park will require temporary closures of the boat ramp, boat ramp parking lot and the parking area next to the concession stand.

The closures are set to begin Monday and continue through Friday.

The entire beach is expected to be open next weekend.
