PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities say a suspect has been arrested in the shooting death of a north Phoenix convenience store clerk during a robbery.

Phoenix police say 35-year-old Seth Martin was taken into custody Monday.

He’s being held on suspicion of first-degree murder and armed robbery.

Police say Martin was detained and questioned at his place of employment Monday morning.

A search warrant was served at his residence and police say evidence was recovered.

Police say 46-year-old John Still was shot just before 10 p.m. Saturday at the Circle K at 19th Avenue and Deer Valley Road.

They say the suspect walked into the convenience store and tried to steal money at gunpoint.

Police say Still was shot multiple times and the suspect calmly exited the store with a fountain drink.
