RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - A conference discussing who will get mortgages in the future and under what conditions has policymakers and bankers meeting in North Carolina.
The annual American Mortgage Conference starts Monday in Raleigh. Attendees will talk about the mortgage marketplace reshaping after the U.S. housing industry’s huge shock during the Great Recession.
Years later, Congress is looking at how to reduce government backing of the home loan market.
