PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - A federal judge Monday sentenced a Portland pimp to 12 years in prison for the sex trafficking of a minor.

Court documents show police started investigating Antonio Porter in August 2009, when a teen said he cut her hand with a knife and struck her on the head with a small child’s bike. Officers couldn’t find Porter then, but the 17-year-old victim reported three months later she was beaten after refusing to work.

As the girl spoke with investigators, Porter called her phone. She put it on speaker, and officers heard Porter warn that she had better be at work on 82nd Avenue.

Authorities later found a second victim who said she began working for Porter when she 15, doing so because he threatened to harm her family if she didn’t.
