READING, Pa. (AP) - Trial has begun for the second of three men charged in a stabbing death in eastern Pennsylvania more than three years ago.

Thirty-three-year-old Michael Walker of Hamburg is charged in Berks County with first-, second- and third-degree murder in the December 2011 death of Stephen Leibensperger in Shoemakersville.

His father, 54-year-old Mark Ellis of Reading, was convicted of second-degree murder, burglary and other counts and sentenced to life in prison. Also charged is 24-year-old Brandon Simpkins of Philadelphia.

The Reading Eagle (https://bit.ly/1aLVFcI ) reports that a witness testified Monday that Walker had talked about stopping by the home, and Leibensperger said Walker had called six times. He said he later found the residence in disarray and called police, who found the victim’s body wrapped in a sheet in the attic.
