TALKEETNA, Alaska (AP) - Alaska State Troopers are investigating the death of a 33-year-old man in Talkeetna as a homicide.

Troopers say Andre Lafrance of Wasilla was pronounced dead at a home Saturday where another man was found critically injured.

Troopers say they were notified early Saturday morning by a caller who indicated someone had been killed.

Troopers say no other information was provided and several hours later troopers located the Montana Creek scene, using information provided by the caller’s cell phone provider.

Troopers say Lafrance and another man were found with apparent gunshot wounds. The other man was flown to an Anchorage hospital in critical condition.

The investigation continues.
