LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas-Little Rock has announced a new contract that will keep women’s basketball coach Joe Foley at the school through 2024.
Foley led the Trojans (29-5) to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in six seasons this year. He receives a raise off $56,000 annually in his new contract and has scheduled raises during the next four years that will bring his base salary to $250,000. His total compensation, including his radio show, will reach $265,000 by 2018.
UALR defeated Texas A&M in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament to give Foley his 700th career win. He has led the Trojans to eight 20-win seasons and seven postseason appearances in the last nine years and three Sun Belt Conference Tournament titles.
UALR says Foley was recently a finalist for the head coaching job at Kansas.
