ST. LOUIS (AP) - St. Louis police say three suspects are in custody following a second, rolling gunbattle on Interstate 44 in about a month.
A male bystander was injured by what police believe was flying glass when a bullet broke a window of a pickup driven by his father, who wasn’t hurt.
Authorities say shots were exchanged between three vehicles Monday afternoon. They suspect the chase started at Interstate 70 and continued south on I-44.
Police say two males exited one of the vehicles and tried to run away but were caught. A second vehicle stopped at a hospital to drop off a man grazed in the forehead by a bullet, and he later was turned over to police.
The second vehicle was found abandoned, and police are searching for the third vehicle.
