WETUMPKA, Ala. (AP) - Police say three people have been shot and five people have been arrested after a weekend robbery in Alabama.

WSFA-TV (https://bit.ly/1cTqfTA ) reports between 10 and 12 people were held at gunpoint and robbed Saturday night in Wetumpka, north of Montgomery. Police say three people were shot during the robbery including one of the suspects who was trying to flee the scene. Two people remain in critical condition.

Elmore County Sheriff Bill Franklin says five people are in custody. Names haven’t been released but Franklin says the robbery suspects knew the victims.
