MONROE, La. (AP) - State police are investigating a fatal bicycle/car crash in Ouachita Parish
Senior Trooper Michael Reichardt said the accident happened shortly after 1:30 a.m. Tuesday on U.S. Highway 165 just south of Monroe.
Reichardt says 36-year-old Mashaylin Green, of Monroe, attempted to cross he highway and was stuck by a car driven by 22-year-old Tommy Coleman.
Reichardt says Green was wearing dark clothing and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Coleman was cited for speeding, not having a driver’s license and no license plate on the vehicle.
