GOVERNMENT CAMP, Ore. (AP) - Firefighters from around Clackamas County have responded to fight a stubborn blaze at a three-story Government Camp condominium structure near Mount Hood.

Officials say no injuries have been reported at the Golden Poles Chalet. The Oregonian reports (https://is.gd/Sr6iHi ) that at least seven full-time residents have been displaced. The cause of the fire that broke out Monday afternoon is under investigation. It wasn’t clear Monday evening how many of the 30 units have been damaged.

Hoodland Fire District Deputy Chief John Ingrao says Clackamas County deputies are investigating a report from one resident who claimed to have 30 pounds of gunpowder in one of the units. Ingrao says investigators don’t suspect the gunpowder as the fire’s cause.

The fire official said Monday night that he expects “this will be a multi-day operation to put this fire out for good.”

Firefighters from Clackamas County, Hoodland, Sandy, Gladstone, Estacada and Gresham responded.
