BRYAN, Texas (AP) - Bryan authorities are investigating after several garbage trucks were found engulfed in flames at the city’s service yard.

Bryan Fire Department Battalion Chief Jason Nored told the (Bryan-College Station) Eagle that four trucks are likely a total loss and a fifth truck was damaged from exposure to the fire.

No injuries were reported in the blaze, and the cause remains under investigation.

Nored said a series of explosions heard by residents in the surrounding area Monday night were probably caused by the truck’s air, fuel or hydraulic tanks.

Nored said the building wasn’t damaged and no one was at the facility when firefighters arrived.
