HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) - The Hattiesburg Stink Music & Arts Festival returns to Mississippi this Friday and Saturday for its second year.
The Hattiesburg American (https://hatne.ws/1DHwUsP) reports the festival, commonly known as Stink Fest, will feature 35 bands performing at 5 venues around the city.
Promoters say the festival was named to draw attention to the unpleasant smell caused by the Hattiesburg’s outdated sewage system. Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the City of Hattiesburg to aid in improvement of wastewater treatment.
