SUPERIOR, Colo. (AP) - A luxury apartment complex in Superior was sold for $250 million, the largest multifamily transaction in Colorado history.

The Denver Post reports (https://dpo.st/1Hf9hvw) that the purchase of Horizons at Rock Creek’s 1,206 units marks Bell Partners of Greensboro, North Carolina’s first western acquisition. The real estate investor’s $5 billion apartment portfolio is based primarily in the Southeast.

The major purchase is part of a trend of real estate transactions this year. Colorado’s year-to-date sales volume in terms of units is 27 percent higher than last year. The year-to-date volume is 40 percent higher than last year.

Only three Colorado properties have sold for a higher price: the Wells Fargo Center in Denver, FlatIron Crossing mall in Broomfield and Park Meadows mall in Lone Tree.
