FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) - Disruptive pot smoking would be punishable by a $100 fine starting Saturday under an ordinance passed unanimously by Fairbanks city councilmembers.
The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports (https://bit.ly/1JqtDzb) the minor offense would come only if the user continues to smoke after a warning from police officers.
Smoking marijuana releases a particle into the air that can be harmful, according to the ordinance.
