FRENCH LICK, Ind. (AP) - Colin Montgomerie says the Pete Dye Course at French Lick, the site of this year’s Senior PGA Championship, is among the best courses he’s played that were designed by the famed Indiana course architect.

The reigning event champion made his first trip to Indiana on Monday to play the course and promote the May 19-24 tournament. He says there’s not a weak hole on the 8,100-yard layout that offers players panoramic views that stretch for miles of countryside.

The Indianapolis Star reports (https://indy.st/1Db8tQG ) the tourney will feature 156 senior competitors from across the world, including Nick Faldo, Tom Kite, Bernhard Langer and Mark O’Meara.
