CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - The Carolina Panthers will play on Thanksgiving for the first time ever when they visit the Dallas Cowboys on Nov. 26.

The game will feature Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy against his former team. Hardy was Carolina’s franchise player last season, but missed 15 games after being placed on the commissioner’s exempt list while facing domestic abuse charges.

The Panthers chose not to re-sign Hardy and he signed a free agent contract with Dallas.

Carolina will also host primetime games in consecutive weeks, hosting the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night Oct. 25 and the Indianapolis Colts on Monday Night Football on Nov. 2.

Carolina is 13-20 all-time in primetime games, including 0-3 last season.

Four of Carolina’s final six games are on the road.
