ELKINS, W.Va. (AP) - A suspect in a fatal shooting in Elkins has been captured in Webster County.

Media outlets report that Derek Adamson was arrested around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Police say the victim died from a gunshot wound to the head. The shooting occurred around 1 a.m. Tuesday at the downtown Elkins Railyard Depot.

Elkins Police Chief Craig Cross tells media outlets that the suspect stole a car from a convenience store parking and fled after the shooting.
