ACWORTH, Ga. (AP) - A reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction in a case involving guns stolen from an Atlanta-area gun store.

The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives says it is offering a reward of $2,500 for information about the theft at Liberty Guns in Acworth. That reward will be matched by the National Shooting Sports Foundation, the trade association for the firearms industry, for a total reward of up to $5,000.

The reward is part of a national initiative by the ATF and the trade association in cases involving guns stolen from federally licensed firearms dealers.

The theft happened early April 3. Anyone with information can call the ATF gun hotline or the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office. Callers can remain anonymous.
